ING
has appointed Martijn Hoogerwerf as head of sustainable finance for the Asia-Pacific region.
Based in Singapore, Hoogerwerf joined ING’s Sustainable Finance APAC team in 2019. He has more than 10 years’ experience in the sustainable finance markets, where he took on a variety of climate related investment and advisory roles during this period. Prior to this, he spent eight years in Fortis’ transportation and logistics, and the strategic development teams (now merged with ABN AMRO) focusing on expanding its wholesale banking activities in Asia. He moved to Hong Kong in 2006 as part of his tenure with Fortis.
Hoogerwerf reports functionally to Ana Carolina Oliveira, global head of sustainable finance (ad interim) and regionally to Catherine Low, head of lending and transaction services for APAC.
Citigroup
Citigroup’s Australia’s markets business has appointed a new managing director, Nicki Ashton, as senior relationship manager, working on the superannuation – aka retirement funds – offering.
Ashton previously worked previously in the bank’s equities and trading business before moving to asset management, where she has held several management positions, most recently with IFM Investors and Pendal Group, said.
